Legal Alien: A Scotsman in Montreal

A Very Montreal Weekend

A-ha! The start of summer! I think it was best summed up by my room-mate whislt we were sitting on a rooftop terrace in the old top drinking beer in the sun when he said "It's not winter anymore!" A sentiment that was no doubt shared amongst all the happy throngs.

Saturday was spent at the dog park with Daisy and then being too lazy to go to a BBQ in NDG. Sunday I went to Tam-Tams on Mont-Royal which was absolutely jam-packed with people. It was pretty cool, threw a frisbee around, shot the breeze and smoked a little. Had the dubious pleasure of seeing Mel again (of all the parks in all the world..) It wasn't too bad. Pretty civil but slightly strained. Of course, the joint may have had sthg to do with my relaxed demeanour.

Then Monday it was the turn of the Old Port. The place was once again packed and we unearthed a real gem on the Rooftop Terrace. It's entrance is hidden as you have to go through a hotel which meant that there were seats on the edge with a great view. The beer is also pretty cheap for such a location - only 5 bucks for an apricot wheat beer.

All I can say is that I can't wait until everyday is part of a long weekend. Summer's gonna be great!
